Göteborg 2013 - European Athletics Indoor Championships

Around 600 athletes from 42 countries, along with 20 000 fans are coming to the Scandinavium Arena in Gothenburg for the 32nd European Athletics Indoor Championships - and the event will be followed live on TV all over Europe.

All the associatied activities are being held indoors in the Swedish Exhibition Centre, next to the arena. It's a unique concept, with thousands of square metres of competitions, the main official hotel, restaurants and entertainment "all under one roof"

The biggest track and field event of the decade in Sweden so far, the 32nd European Athletics Indoor Championship is 15 months away. The first official partner is now signed - Göteborgs Energi - and will be one of the event's biggest partners.

- Together we want to create "the most sustainable championships ever" says Mats Devert from Göteborg Energi.

The General Secretary of the event, Anders Albertsson adds:
- It will be a unique event with sustainability, technological innovation and an all-family-feeling as supporting ingredients. The Indoor Championships is an important event for the city and it shows that Gothenburg will continue to be a leading event city in northern Europe.
